Henrique grew up in Burford, Ontario, playing minor hockey for the Burford Coyotes. He was selected by the Windsor Spitfires in the second round of the 2006 OHL Priority Selection Draft and won the Memorial Cup with Windsor in 2009 and 2010. His jersey number 14 was retired by the Spitfires in 2014. Henrique made his NHL debut for the Devils on April 11, 2011, and scored his first career goal on November 3, 2011, against Sergei Bobrovsky. In the 2012 playoffs, he became the first rookie to score two series-clinching overtime goals in the same postseason, including the double-overtime winner in Game 7 against the Florida Panthers and an overtime goal to eliminate the New York Rangers. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 2012. Henrique was traded to the Anaheim Ducks on November 30, 2017, alongside Joseph Blandisi and a 2018 third-round pick, in exchange for Sami Vatanen and a conditional draft pick. He signed a five-year, $29.125 million contract extension with the Ducks on July 16, 2018. Henrique recorded his first career hat trick on December 17, 2023, in a 5–1 win over the New Jersey Devils.
