Attack of the Show! premiered on March 28, 2005, as a replacement for The Screen Savers. It originally aired live five days a week, later truncated to four days in 2006, returning to five days in 2008, then back to four days in 2009. The show aired its 1,000th episode in July 2009, featuring a skit where Alan Thicke kissed Olivia Munn. It upgraded to high-definition on April 5, 2010, and 'respawned' with new graphics and set on January 1, 2011. On October 26, 2012, G4 canceled Attack of the Show! due to low ratings, five months after Kevin Pereira canceled his contract. The final original episode aired January 23, 2013, ending with a montage and a dream sequence featuring former Screen Savers hosts Patrick Norton and Leo Laporte. The revival was announced on January 28, 2021, with Kevin Pereira returning as host, and premiered November 18, 2021. The revival was canceled with G4's closure less than a year later.
