Plot
Cody Martin plans to spend spring break with his girlfriend Bailey Pickett but instead leaves the SS Tipton to work as an intern for Dr. Donald Spaulding at a research firm, hoping to earn a scholarship to Yale. Bailey, angered that Cody canceled their plans, refuses to speak to him. Meanwhile, Cody's twin brother Zack asks to borrow Cody's car, which their parents promised to Cody for college, but Cody refuses. After Zack crashes a billion-dollar submarine into a seawall while trying to impress a science assistant, Cody does the same while attempting to stop him, and their equipment is lost.
Cody is expelled from the program and fired, and he disowns Zack, saying they may be twins but are not brothers. Elsewhere, London Tipton accidentally eats a fruit given to dolphins and gains the ability to understand them. The Martin twins learn that both are ideal for the Gemini Project, led by Dr. Ronald Olsen, who studies the physical and emotional connection of twins. They agree to join and find themselves at a camp with many other twins.
Dr. Olsen claims the project aims to create an emotional bond between people to end evil in the world. Using the same fruit as Dr. Spaulding's experiments, Zack and Cody develop a physical bond, sensing each other's feelings, then an emotional bond. They realize why each needs what he needs: Cody needs the scholarship to be with Bailey at Yale, and Zack needs the car to find his calling. After reconciling, they overhear that Dr. Olsen has evil intentions.
Meanwhile, Bailey finds Cody's letter, understands he wanted a scholarship to Yale, and goes with London and Woody to find him and Zack.
