Making and release
AllMusic's Bret Love wrote that the album's high testosterone and volume levels ensured limited appeal.[4] In October 1995 the band joined Machine Head and Slapshot on a ten-week tour in a rented van.[4] Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote that Pigwalk captures the band's live power but lacks memorable riffs.[5] Stuck Mojo disbanded after the live album HVY1 and Declaration of a Headhunter, then reformed in 2005.[6]
Century Media Records became Stuck Mojo's label in 1994, and their first album, Snappin' Necks, hit stores in 1995.[2] After MTV Europe named them the year's best live band, Stuck Mojo played the main stage at the Dynamo Festival in Eindhoven.[1] October 8, 1996 was the release date for their second album, Pigwalk.[5] Southern Born Killers* got a re-release from Napalm Records that included three additional tracks.[1]
What the cited sources add
The band's official biography states that Stuck Mojo became Century Media's biggest selling act in America and remained so until 2004.[1] In December 2014 the classic lineup played a reunion show at The Masquerade in Atlanta.[7][8] Blabbermouth.net reported that the reunion fell apart for the same reasons it did not work the first time.[9] Lord Nelson, a rapper, provided guest vocals and then took over as vocalist after Bonz left.[6]
