Opening sequence
After a brief preview of the episode's content, the opening sequence displayed a series of provocative images. Three-dimensional visuals revealed a mansion atop Devil's Tower, followed by the Hindenburg disaster, the sinking of the Titanic, a pyramid with the all-seeing eye, tarot cards, and Stonehenge. The title formed over the mansion as a figure in the window turned to reveal host Edward Mulhare, who said, "It's time for our journey to begin." He then looked into an old-fashioned zoetrope showing preview images of the episode's topic, threw a switch to power the set's mechanisms, and began his opening narration.
