Violet Harmon is the teenage daughter of Ben and Vivien Harmon in American Horror Story: Murder House, the first season, played by Taissa Farmiga. The family moves from Boston to Los Angeles, where Violet, who is experiencing depression, grows close to Tate Langdon, one of her father's patients.

Lore & Background
Violet starts at a new school and is terrorized by a group of girls. She learns from Constance Langdon that Tate is Constance's son, and confirms that he was shot by a SWAT team after a massacre at Westfield High and does not know he is dead. Tate later shows Violet her own body in the crawl space: she had died from a suicide attempt despite his efforts to save her, and as a ghost she is trapped on the property. After her mother Vivien dies, Violet tells Tate that she loves him but can never forgive him.
