Agoraphobic Nosebleed

American drum-machine grindcore pioneers known for ultra-brief songs.

Last updated

Agoraphobic Nosebleed is an American grindcore band with a frequently changing line-up, guitarist and drum programmer Scott Hull being the only continuous member.[1] A drum machine and extremely short songs are hallmarks of this band's sound.[2] On Altered States of America, one hundred tracks appear in less than twenty-two minutes, with numerous songs lasting five seconds or fewer.[3]

Making and release

In 2011, Relapse released a split CD/LP featuring Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Despise You.[4] A flexi disc called Make a Joyful Noise was included with the December 2011 Decibel Magazine, while the December 2012 issue contained a flexi disc featuring the track "Merry Chrystmeth".[4]

What the cited sources add

The Decibel Flexi Series, which included the band's flexi discs, began in late 2010 as a reward for deluxe subscribers.[5] The Myspace page for Agoraphobic Nosebleed lists the band as part of the People/Entertainment Weekly Network.[6] A 2014 MetalSucks article noted that the band's then-upcoming album would be their first on Housecore Records.[7]
