In February 2025, the show was renewed for both a fifth and sixth season; no specific premiere dates have been announced yet for either season. Married New Yorkers Samantha "Sam" and Jay Arondekar think their dreams have come true when they inherit Woodstone Manor, a run-down country house, from Sam's great aunt Sophie Brimble. They plan to turn it into a bed and breakfast, but the manor is in disrepair.
After a near-death experience caused by a ghost named Trevor moving a vase to haunt them, Sam discovers the property is also home to ghosts from various eras of American history, who died on the grounds and are now bound there. Each ghost appears as they did at death and has a unique power tied to their life or manner of death, until they can move on to the afterlife. Sam gains the ability to see and hear these ghosts, while Jay cannot.
Living - Rose McIver as Samantha "Sam" Arondekar, a freelance journalist who, after being clinically dead for three minutes, awakens able to see, hear, and interact with ghosts.
