Plot

The show's opening sequence establishes the premise: while loading food into compartments to prepare a rocket for a mission, Barney instructs Junior to hit the lunch button, but Junior mistakenly hits the launch button. The rocket blasts off, taking them on various misadventures on alien planets. In each episode, their spaceship, a NASA lunar module, is captured by aliens or lands somewhere. The two astronauts are taken away by strange creatures, complete a weird mission, then reunite with the ship and depart.
