Lore & Background
Played in first person, it is built around stealth: Amanda has to avoid, outwit and sometimes fight enemies with improvised tools. It deliberately copies the lo-fi, 1970s look of the original film rather than the action of Aliens, on an engine built around the alien's behaviour. Creative Assembly first planned a third-person game but switched for intensity.
