Pēteris Skudra
Latvian goaltender who played 146 NHL games.
Pēteris Skudra is a Latvian former professional ice hockey goaltender and head coach. He played in the National Hockey League for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, and Vancouver Canucks over six seasons. Skudra later moved to Russia, where he spent the final four seasons of his playing career.

Playing career
Skudra signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins as a free agent in 1997 and played 74 games for them over three seasons. After the 1999–2000 season he signed with the Boston Bruins, then moved to the Vancouver Canucks as a backup to Dan Cloutier. Late in the 2002–03 season, coach Marc Crawford chose Alex Auld as backup over Skudra. In 2003 Skudra left North America for the Russian League, playing for Ak Bars Kazan, Khimik Moscow Oblast, CSKA Moscow, and Metallurg Novokuznetsk. He retired on October 22, 2007.
