Hollywood Divas

Synopsis

The reality series Hollywood Divas follows five African-American actresses as they manage their careers, families, and relationships while trying to stay visible in an industry that often overlooks black talent. The first season centers on Paula Jai Parker, Elise Neal, Golden Brooks, Countess Vaughn, and Lisa Wu, a producer and former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, as they collaborate to write, film, and produce a project called The White Sistas.

Season two escalates tensions over ownership of the project when the women seek a deal, culminating in a reunion confrontation between Lisa, Golden, Countess, and Paula and her husband. For the third season, Elise leaves and Malika Haqq joins, befriending Paula and pursuing acting. Lisa begins dating and attempts to reconcile with Paula, who lands a role on Ray Donovan. Countess returns to singing, but her friendship with Golden sours.

Golden launches a swimsuit line and gets a dream role that does not pan out. The season ends with a heated reunion clash between Countess and Golden.
