Farewell (Oingo Boingo album)

Final Oingo Boingo concerts captured live on Halloween 1995.

Farewell: Live from the Universal Amphitheatre, Halloween 1995 is a double live album and home video by American new wave band Oingo Boingo, capturing their final shows, which ended on Halloween 1995. Across five nights, the band played over 44 songs in a four-hour set that stretched past midnight. The release features live versions of previously unreleased tracks like "Burn Me Up," "Water," "Piggies," and "Clowns of Death." Some CD tracks were taken from earlier nights, so performances differ between formats. The double cassette added "Just Another Day" and "Nothing to Fear (But Fear Itself)" as bonuses.

Home video

The 1996 VHS release of the Farewell concert, which came out at the same time as the double album, had a different setlist than the CD. It opened with a "Tender Lumplings" video introduction, and included "Nothing to Fear (But Fear Itself)" between "I Am the Walrus" and "Piggies," plus "Just Another Day" between "Change" and "Stay." The song "Whole Day Off" from the CD was left out of the video. The track order also shifted "Ain't This the Life" to play between "On the Outside" and "Wild Sex (In the Working Class)." The VHS set added a half-hour retrospective documentary and the music videos for "Little Girls" and "Insanity." The 1999 compilation Anthology brought back the "Tender Lumplings" intro and extra concert dialogue for "Insects," "We Close Our Eyes," and "Whole Day Off" that the double album had cut. On September 18, 2001, the concert came out on DVD as a two-disc set. The second disc held all the VHS bonus features, though the two music videos were hidden as Easter eggs. Both discs featured animated menus and a hidden discography slideshow.
