Draft
The Cavaliers went into the draft with a pair of second-round selections: their own at number 58 and the 49th pick, which came from a 2020 trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. Their first-round pick was sent to the Utah Jazz in the 2022 deal for Donovan Mitchell. It later went to the Phoenix Suns because Cleveland’s 2024–25 record was better than both Utah’s and Minnesota’s, making it the least favorable of those three picks.
