Raptors eliminated from playoff contention for third straight season.
The Toronto Raptors celebrated their 30th NBA season with a special anniversary logo. They averaged 18,744 fans per home game, the highest attendance among Canadian teams. Draft
The Raptors entered the draft with a first-round pick and a second-round pick. They originally had good odds to keep a lottery draft pick, but lost that pick to the San Antonio Spurs when it fell to number eight, outside their protection range. Toronto held a late first-round pick acquired from the Indiana Pacers and an early second-round pick originally belonging to the Detroit Pistons. For the first time in franchise and league history, the draft was held over two separate days. Hours before the second round, the Raptors traded with the Sacramento Kings involving the 45th pick. Later, they traded cash with the Minnesota Timberwolves to acquire the 57th pick.
