2024–25 Denver Nuggets season
Jokić's historic 30–20–20 game highlighted a tumultuous season.
The 2024–25 Denver Nuggets season was the 49th for the franchise in the NBA. Nikola Jokić became the first player in league history to record a 30–20–20 game, doing so in an overtime victory against the Phoenix Suns on March 7, 2025. The team fired head coach Michael Malone and general manager Calvin Booth on April 8, with three games left in the regular season, due to behind-the-scenes discord between the two.

Draft
The Nuggets entered the draft with one first-round pick and one second-round pick. A second-round pick originally belonging to Denver had been traded to the Phoenix Suns, who later forfeited that selection during the previous season due to tampering violations involving Drew Eubanks. This marked the third consecutive year that a second-round pick once held by Denver was forfeited by another team for tampering. On the first night of the draft, the Suns traded with the Nuggets, sending the 22nd pick (power forward DaRon Holmes II from the University of Dayton) to Denver in exchange for the Nuggets' 28th and 56th picks (Ryan Dunn from the University of Virginia and Kevin McCullar Jr. from the University of Kansas) along with second-round picks in 2026 and 2031.
