Release and promotion

Child of God II was preceded by six singles: "Your Way's Better", "Drop!", "Nothing Else", "Celebration", "No L's", and "Amen". The first single, "Your Way's Better", originally appeared on the Child of God: Deluxe Edition released November 1, 2024, and was issued on October 25, 2024. It initially peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart before a breakout in early 2025 drove it to No. 2 on that chart and No. 72 on the Hot 100, a rise credited to social media promotion and a dance derived from the song. The second single, "Drop!", released January 24, 2025, addresses humility. "Nothing Else", featuring Thomas Rhett, came out February 28, 2025, and charted at No. 14 on Billboard Digital Song Sales and No. 4 on Hot Christian Songs within its first week; on April 13, 2025, Rhett broke his ankle while performing the song with Frank in concert. "No L's", released April 11, 2025, samples over 10,000 people recorded at a live performance on the Child of God Tour and reached No. 12 on Hot Christian Songs. "Amen", released April 25, 2025, arrived alongside an extended play of the same name that included previous singles. A seventh single, "Woke Up This Morning" (a remix of the Nathan Davis Jr song), was released the next week, and the eighth single, "Home", came out on May 5, 2025. Frank first announced Child of God II at a live performance in Los Angeles on April 25, 2025, with an official public announcement and preorders opening the following day. The album exceeded 100,000 preorders within five days. Upon its May 9, 2025 release, it debuted at No. 3 on the US iTunes albums chart and No. 15 in Canada.
