Natalia Erdyniyeva was born in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia, and is of Buryat-Mongol ethnicity. She is a student at Buryat State University in Ulan-Ude and was trained by her parents, beginning with her mother Gerelma Erdyniyeva. Her hobby is dancing. In 2007, she won silver at the second stage of the Archery World Cup in Varese, gold at the third stage in Antalya, and bronze at the 44th Outdoor Archery World Championship in Leipzig. She achieved the world number one ranking on 24 July 2007 and later that year took bronze at the Archery World Cup in Dubai. In 2008, she earned silver at the first stage of the Archery World Cup in Santo Domingo.
