Career

BWP became known for sexually explicit lyrics and were often called a female version of 2 Live Crew. Their successful album The Bytches was followed by 1993's Life's a Bytch, which was never released. In 1991, McCaskill and Morgan paid amateur videographer George Holliday $1,500 for the rights to use ten seconds of his footage of L.A.P.D. officers beating Rodney King in their video for "Wanted." McCaskill said that rappers had long discussed police brutality without justice, and that the taped incident made it visible in black and white, hoping people would not forget it. The duo made a cameo in the 1992 romance comedy film Strictly Business. Their second studio album, Life's a Bitch, released under Def Jam, was never released but can now be found on YouTube. An unreleased song, "Mothers Day," explored single motherhood on welfare. McCaskill's six-year-old daughter appeared on "Fuck a Man" and "Life's a Bitch." The group was depicted in the 1998 movie Bulworth; Morgan played herself, while another actor portrayed McCaskill. After recording Life's a Bitch, McCaskill and Morgan had a falling out and did not speak for years, later reuniting for the Queens of Rap tour. McCaskill later earned a master's degree in counseling psychology from Immaculata University in 2009 and worked with mental health patients, focusing on drug and alcohol abuse. She stated that people who helped her inspired her to help others. In a recent interview, she announced plans to release a multi-genre Christian music album, wanting to create Christian rap that felt up to date.
