A wolf howls as Nancy Drew investigates lodge accidents.
The 16th game in the Nancy Drew point-and-click adventure series, The White Wolf of Icicle Creek, was created by Her Interactive and published by Sega for the Wii. It launched on Windows in June 2007, with a Wii port arriving in December 2008 that adapted its controls and mini-games for the console. Plot
Nancy Drew, an 18-year-old amateur detective from the fictional U.S. town of River Heights, heads to Alberta, Canada, after lodge owner Chantal Moique asks her to look into a series of suspicious accidents. A white gray wolf has been spotted at every incident, vanishing before police arrive. When Nancy reaches the lodge, an explosion destroys the bunkhouse, and a wolf howl echoes in the distance. Posing as the new maid and cook, Nancy works undercover to find the culprit before the remaining guests flee and the lodge’s reputation is ruined. The suspects include Ollie Randall, the gruff handyman who wants the wolf killed and mounted; his daughter Freddie, who spends her days as “Snow Princess” in an ice fort, challenging passersby to snowball fights; Yanni Volkstaia, an Olympic cross-country skier from the fictional country of Fredonia, who believes rivals are spying on him and causing the accidents; Guadalupe “Lupe” Comillo, a birdwatcher from Los Angeles who knows little about birds but a lot about wolves; Bill Kessler, an avid ice fisherman who wants the wolf destroyed even if it destroys the lodge; and Lou Talbot, an art student from California who doubts the wolf is involved. The voice cast includes Lani Minella as Nancy Drew and Freddie, Mark Shone as Ollie Randall, Kate Jaeger as Chantal Moique, Jonah Von Spreekin as Bill Kessler, Gabriel Baron as Lou Talbot, Evan Newton as Yanni Volkstaia, Kate Wisniewski as Guadalupe Comillo, Keith Dahlgren as Sheriff Mahihkan and additional voices, Scott Carty as Ned Nickerson, Jeff Minnerly as Tino Balducci, Amy Broomhall as Nikki Sabatini and additional voices, Brian Neel as additional voices, and Tony Bradshaw as the White Wolf.
