Verdiso
A white grape used in Prosecco blends, especially in Superiore di Cartizze.
Verdiso is a white Italian wine grape variety grown primarily in the province of Treviso in the Veneto region. It is permitted in the Prosecco DOC, where it can make up to 15% of the blend alongside Glera and other varieties. Bottlings containing Verdiso may be labeled Superiore di Cartizze if produced from grapes on the hill of Cartizze at around 1,000 feet altitude.
