Rossese bianco
A rare white variety from Piedmont with a distinct genetic profile.
Rossese bianco is a white Italian wine grape variety grown around Roddino and Sinio in the Langhe region of Piedmont. Despite sharing its name with several other Italian varieties, DNA profiling has shown it is genetically distinct from them. Ampelographers believe the name derives from the intense color of the berries, which can range from deep red to dark gold after veraison.
