Blatterle
A near-extinct Tyrolese white grape from Alto-Adige.
Blatterle is a white wine grape from the Alto-Adige region of northeast Italy, historically grown around Bolzano and the Eisacktal valley. Its name derives from the Tyrolese dialect term for 'little leaves'. Once near extinction by the turn of the 21st century, it is now used in varietal vino da tavola and blended with Fraueler and Müller-Thurgau.
