Albarola

A neutral white blending grape from Liguria's Cinque Terre.

Albarola is a white Italian wine grape variety grown in northwest Italy, most commonly in the Liguria region. It is used as a blending component in Cinqueterre DOC wines, where it is harvested at a maximum yield of 9 tonnes/hectare and can constitute no more than 40% of the blend. Wine expert Jancis Robinson describes the wine made from Albarola as fairly neutral in profile.
