Brustiano bianco
A Corsican white grape rediscovered on Sardinia via DNA analysis.
Brustiano bianco is a white wine grape from Corsica that was believed lost. DNA testing on Sardinia revealed it was the same as Licronaxu bianco and its dark-berried mutation Licronaxu nero. Reintroduced to Corsica, it is now commonly blended with Vermentino, Biancu Gentile, and Scimiscià.
