Plot

Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his younger brother Dr. Percy Frankenstein flee their hometown with their creations Frank, Drac, and Wolfie after the monsters frighten a mob. They settle in Monsterland. One night, while Victor works on a creation to regain the villagers' trust, he vanishes. The monsters search for him and meet Mina and Drew, two depowered monsters staying at Victor's lab. They discover Percy orchestrated Victor's disappearance and unleashes Sergeant Smash. After defeating Smash, Percy is crushed by his own creation. Victor is rescued and restores Mina and Drew's powers.

Gameplay

The gameplay resembles Gauntlet, shown from a top-down perspective. Players control one of three monsters—Frank, Drac, or Wolfie—plus unlockable characters Mina and Drew. They fire projectiles at enemies and collect atoms to buy power-ups and healing items between levels. Each setting (e.g., a cemetery, a laboratory) contains two levels, followed by a trial level with a required objective; failing it forces a boss fight. Two players can battle each other when connected via another Game Boy Advance.
