Keith's sword functions as a high-frequency energy blade powered by Galra technology. Initially acquired during his early years, it became his primary melee tool alongside his piloting duties. The hilt is sleek and metallic, housing an emitter that projects a solid light edge capable of slicing through heavy armor and shields. Unlike standard Altean weaponry which relies on crystalline resonance, this blade utilizes plasma containment fields similar to Galra warships.

In combat, Keith employs it with exceptional speed and precision, favoring quick slashes over brute force. The weapon can be sheathed or drawn instantly from a magnetic holster at his hip. During the formation of Voltron, the sword occasionally resonates with the Black Lion's energy, allowing for enhanced cutting power when channeling planetary forces. However, prolonged activation drains the user's stamina if not connected to an external battery pack found on his suit.

Ownership history remains personal to Keith; he refused Altean replacements to keep it as a reminder of his past and resolve. It has been used in duels against top Galra officers and even Emperor Zarkon himself. While effective, the blade is vulnerable to anti-energy dampeners which can temporarily deactivate the plasma edge, forcing the wielder into unarmed combat until power restores.
