Unlike a ragtag coalition, the Blade is a disciplined, centuries-old order focused on redemption and justice, not conquest.

Lore & Background
The Blade of Marmora predates Keith's leadership, having been founded long ago as a secret resistance against the Galra Empire. After the fall of Zarkon, Keith—already a member—rose to lead the organization, using its hidden bases and mobile fleet to oppose Lotor's regime. The Blade never operated as a separate 'Keith's Rebellion'; rather, Keith's role was to continue the Marmora's mission of liberating Galra society from within. The Altean resistance was largely destroyed or absorbed into the Voltron Force, and no separate 'New Galra Alliance' formed—the Blade remained an independent order.
