Reception

By October 2024, the series had surpassed 1.4 million copies in circulation. IGN France’s Léonard Fougère found the beginning unique and entertaining, calling it a fresh genre take, but felt it relies too heavily on its excellent lead character. He criticized the anime for structural issues, cramming in too many ideas about gender roles that the manga handles better. ScreenRant’s J. R. Waugh, however, noted the anime’s seasonal popularity, praising how it twists typical otome isekai tropes into something spectacular and hilarious, anchored by a wonderfully cool and refreshing protagonist.
