Vikings season 2

The second season of *Vikings* aired from February 27 to May 1, 2014, on History in Canada, spanning ten episodes. The show tracks the adventures of the legendary Viking leader Ragnar Lothbrok and his crew, and later his sons, with the first season starting at the dawn of the Viking Age during the 793 raid on Lindisfarne. This season centers on Ragnar’s conflicts with other Vikings and his ascent from Earl to King. His forces push deeper into England, where they are offered land to settle for the first time.

The main cast includes Travis Fimmel as Ragnar, Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha, Clive Standen as Rollo, Jessalyn Gilsig as Siggy, Gustaf Skarsgård as Floki, George Blagden as Athelstan, Alyssa Sutherland as Aslaug, Donal Logue as King Horik, Linus Roache as King Ecbert, and Alexander Ludwig as Bjorn Ironside, with Nathan O’Toole playing a younger Bjorn. The season is an Irish-Canadian co-production presented by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, developed by Octagon Films and Take 5 Productions.
