Tomb Raider I–III Remastered

Remastered compilation of the first three Tomb Raider games.

Tomb Raider I–III Remastered

Tomb Raider I–III Remastered is a 2024 action-adventure game collection developed and published by Aspyr. It compiles remastered versions of the first three Tomb Raider titles originally made by Core Design: *Tomb Raider* (1996), *Tomb Raider II* (1997), and *Tomb Raider III* (1998). The collection launched on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on 14 February 2024. Critics gave the collection generally favorable reviews. A follow-up, *Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered*, arrived on 14 February 2025.

Each game follows archaeologist-adventurer Lara Croft as she explores ancient ruins and tombs for artifacts, shown from a third-person perspective. Lara starts with two infinite-ammo pistols and can run, walk (preventing ledge falls), look around, jump forward and backward, shimmy along ledges, roll, swim, and push blocks. New features across all three games include toggles between enhanced and original graphics, classic and modern control schemes, camera lock-on, boss health bars, a photo mode, and over 200 achievements.

After acquiring Tomb Raider from Square Enix Europe in 2022, Embracer Group expressed interest in sequels, remakes, and remasters. *Tomb Raider I–III Remastered* was revealed on 14 September 2023 during a Nintendo Direct, with a release date of 14 February 2024—coinciding with Lara Croft’s canonical birthday. It includes three expansion packs: *Unfinished Business*, *The Golden Mask*, and *The Lost Artifact*. Aspyr, an Embracer subsidiary that had ported the first six Tomb Raider games to macOS in the 2000s, developed and published the remaster in partnership with Crystal Dynamics and Saber Interactive. In January 2024, the developers promised more details soon. Crystal Dynamics confirmed in May 2024 that *Tomb Raider I–III Remastered* would get a physical release from Limited Run Games, which launched on 18 October 2024 after a delay.
