Keegan Lowe

Playing career

Keegan Lowe got his start in the 2006 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, skating for the Edmonton Oilers minor team. Years later, on March 13, 2013, the Carolina Hurricanes inked him to a three-year entry-level contract. He debuted in the NHL on April 9, 2015, and made an immediate impression by piling up 10 penalty minutes from two fights with veteran Vincent Lecavalier. During the 2016–17 season, his fourth with the Hurricanes organization, Lowe notched three goals and 12 points in 49 games. On February 21, 2017, Carolina traded him to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Philip Samuelsson. After that, he signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Edmonton Oilers on July 1, 2017, and later agreed to a two-year contract with the same club on June 3, 2018. Following three seasons in the Oilers system, Lowe left as a free agent. For the pandemic-delayed 2020–21 campaign, he took a one-year contract with the San Diego Gulls of the AHL on January 11, 2021. Serving as an alternate captain, he put up two goals and six points in 44 regular-season games. Once that season ended, Lowe went overseas, signing a one-year deal with Italy’s HC Bolzano of the ICE Hockey League on August 18, 2021. He then moved to Sweden, agreeing to a one-year contract with the Växjö Lakers of the SHL on July 23, 2022. On April 20, 2025, Lowe extended his stay in Växjö with a two-year contract that runs through the 2026–27 season.
