Franz Bibfeldt
Fictitious German theologian and academic in-joke at the University of Chicago.
Franz Bibfeldt is a made-up German theologian, originally a private joke among American scholars. He debuted in a fake footnote created by Concordia Seminary student Robert Howard Clausen. Most later Bibfeldt material came from the University of Chicago, which maintains a Donnelley Stool of Bibfeldt Studies.
