Bergerac is a British crime drama that premiered on UKTV, rebooting the original BBC One series that ran from 1981 to 1991. The show airs on U&Drama and has been available for free streaming on U since 27 February 2025.

The plot follows Detective Jim Bergerac solving crimes on Jersey. In the first series, he investigates the murder of Cate, a member of a wealthy family, while grappling with his own past and family troubles.

The main cast includes Damien Molony as DCI James 'Jim' Bergerac, Zoë Wanamaker as Charlie Hungerford, Robert Gilbert as DI Barnabus 'Barney' Crozier, Sasha Behar as Ch. Supt. Uma Dalal, Celine Arden as DS Kara Molloy, Luke Nunn as DC Simon Calvert, and Chloe Sweetlove as Kim Bergerac. Series one guest stars include Philip Glenister, Pippa Haywood, Timothy Renouf, Aidan McArdle, Stephen Wight, and Ayesha Antoine. Series two adds Adrian Edmondson, Lesley Sharp, Camilla Beeput, Turlough Convery, Georgina Rich, Charles Dale, and Jonathan Aris.

Development of a reboot was first reported in 2019 by Paramount Network with Endemol Shine UK, but delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. A new six-part series for UKTV was announced in April 2024, produced by BlackLight TV and written by Toby Whithouse, Catherine Tregenna, Brian Fillis, and Polly Buckle. Filming was scheduled for Jersey and other locations in summer 2024, with funding from the Jersey Government confirmed in July 2024.

Damien Molony was cast as Bergerac in July 2024, after earlier reports linked Aidan Turner, James Norton, and David Tennant to the role. Timothy Renouf joined the cast in July 2024. Filming began in Jersey in summer 2024, including in St Helier, with first-look images released in September 2024. That month, filming also took place in Plymouth, Devon.

The first series aired on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 4 May 2025.
