UEFA Champions League Best Goalkeeper

UEFA's positional award for the season's best goalkeeper.

The Best Goalkeeper award is one of UEFA's positional awards for the most outstanding players of the Champions League season. UEFA gives out awards each August to the most outstanding performers of the European club season, at a gala in Monaco that has been combined with the Champions League group stage draw since 2014.

Lore & Background

From 1998 to 2009 the Best European Goalkeeper was given to the same goalkeepers who won this award. The positional awards were dropped when the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award arrived in 2010-11 and returned in 2016-17.
