Gameplay
Up to four players follow on-screen dance moves from over 40 songs, with their accuracy judged as they earn stars. A progress bar sits above boomboxes that display five possible ratings. Besides Solo and Duet modes, Dance Crew mode lets four players perform unique choreography together, and playlists group songs by category. Players can now pick their dancer for Duet or Dance Crew songs. Duet lyrics appear on the left side of the screen, while pictograms for each dancer in Duet and Dance Crew songs are grouped on the right. The PlayStation 3 version includes an optional karaoke-style lyric display, with yellow text for both male and female vocals. In Dance Crew mode, each player’s progress bar has boomboxes on its left side. Unlockable gifts include new songs, game modes, and Dance Mashups that blend routines from this game and the two previous Just Dance titles. Returning features are Non-Stop Shuffle, Speed Shuffle, Medley, Simon Says, and Just Sweat. The Wii and PlayStation 3 versions offer Hold My Hand mode, where two players share a single controller. The Xbox 360 version lets players choose between full or short song versions, and offers two difficulty levels: Easy (using only hands) and Normal (using the whole body). It also has a Shout Out feature that uses Kinect voice recognition to earn extra Mojo points when singing on-screen lyrics in light blue. A Just Create mode allows players to design their own routines with the Kinect, which can be saved, shared online, and played like any standard routine.
