Professional gaming career
Dinh began playing League of Legends during its Closed Beta in 2008. Alongside his brother Dan Dinh, he became a recognizable figure in the early player base. In September 2009, the brothers formed one of the earliest competitive teams, All or Nothing, during the closed beta. Around that time, Dinh also founded the SoloMid website, one of the first dedicated to League of Legends, which also served as his team's site. After disagreements with his brother, All or Nothing disbanded in early 2011, and Dinh founded Team SoloMid (TSM) as its mid laner and captain. At the Season 1 World Championship in 2011, TSM placed third and earned $10,000. The team also achieved a second-place finish at Intel Extreme Masters Season VI and a first-place finish at Major League Gaming's Providence tournament. Following these defeats, founding member Christian "The Rain Man" Kahmann left due to differing interests, and Marcus "Dyrus" Hill, already living in the TSM house, joined. TSM then won several North American events in spring and summer. After a first-place victory at the North American regionals, TSM competed at the Season 2 World Championships in Los Angeles, losing 2–0 to Azubu Frost and placing 5th–8th with a $75,000 prize. In December, they placed 9th–12th at IGN Pro League Season 5, winning $1,500. Dinh retired from competition at the end of 2013, though he briefly returned as TSM's mid laner in Week 7 of the 2014 NA LCS Spring Split while Bjergsen renewed his U.S. visa.
