Vine of Sodom

The Vine of Sodom is a biblical term from the King James and other English translations, referring to a plant whose fruit is beautiful but bitter. It is most often identified with the osher (Calotropis procera), whose fruit are called apples of Sodom, or with the colocynth (Citrullus colocynthis).
