The 77th Floor

Lore & Background

The 77th Floor sits in the Tower's upper reaches, a zone where even Rankers tread lightly. It is governed by a High Ranker handpicked by Jahad himself, a warden who enforces the floor's brutal hierarchy with an iron fist. The environment is a relentless adversary: endless deserts of black glass that shatter underfoot, canyons where shinsu currents howl like living things, and skies that bleed crimson at dusk. Ancient ruins—jagged spires and collapsed domes—dot the landscape, remnants of the Tower's original builders. Climbers whisper that these ruins hum with forgotten shinsu frequencies, and those who listen too long risk losing their minds to echoes of the past.

Reader's Guide

The 77th Floor is a crucible, not a sightseeing stop. It marks the point where the climb shifts from survival to warfare—against the environment, against other climbers, and against the floor's political machinery. Regulars who reach it have proven their strength, but here, strength alone is a liability. Alliances are currency; betrayal is a common tax. The floor's true importance is as a filter: those who pass it gain access to the upper echelons where Jahad's Empire rules without pretense. For fans, the 77th Floor is where the series' themes of power, sacrifice, and the cost of ambition crystallize into something unforgettable.
