Toronto beat the defending champion Canadiens four games to two.
The Maple Leafs won the 1947 Stanley Cup Final over the defending champion Montreal Canadiens, four games to two. It was the first Final meeting between the two rivals and the first all-Canadian Final since the Montreal Maroons beat Toronto in 1935. Toronto had beaten the Detroit Red Wings 4–1 to reach the Final.
