Pet
The permanent companion that fights and sells loot.
As in Fate, the player in Torchlight has a permanent pet that fights alongside them and can carry and sell loot. The starting pet can be a wolf dog, a lynx or, in the retail version, a ferret.
Lore & Background
Feeding fish to the pet transforms it into different creatures. Pets and fishing both return in Torchlight II, where the pets gain expanded options and basic customization.
