Lore & Background

The group consists of seven warriors who go up against the forces of Xin'trea following its coup d'état. This story is told by the mysterious elf Seanchai to Jaskier, whom she saves from a war. The narrative explores the ancient Elven civilization of Xin'trea before its demise and depicts the creation of the first Witcher. Fjall's personal journey begins with his betrayal; he was born into the Dog Clan but is forced to leave after the Empress Merwyn betrays them. He is joined by six other diverse warriors: Éile, a warrior of the Queen's guard from the Raven Clan who becomes a traveling musician; Scían, the last member of the Ghost Clan sword-elves; Callan, Syndril, Zacaré, and Meldof. Merwyn and her mage Balor are the antagonists, while Eredin—a general of the Wild Hunt—appears only at the end of the miniseries and does not oppose the group during the main events.

The series details how this group's actions lead to the Conjunction of Spheres and the creation of the first Witcher.
