Sanxing Cult Revival

Lore & Background

The revival is less about a unified political cult and more about the re-emergence of forbidden knowledge. It represents a rejection of the Nikara Empire's imposed order in favor of older, more primal forces. This shift allows for the return of entities like Niqamuli, whose power requires specific ancient rites to manifest fully within a mortal host. The aesthetic of this revival is often characterized by bronze masks and fire rituals.

Reader's Guide

The narrative arc begins subtly in Book I, where Rin's training exposes her to the darker aspects of Shu Han magic and history. As she rises through the ranks, the cost of this power becomes apparent, hinting at a deeper spiritual debt. In Book II, the political landscape crumbles, forcing characters to rely on these ancient methods for survival. The revival is no longer theoretical but a desperate necessity as conventional warfare fails against the supernatural threats emerging from the shadows. By Book III, the culmination occurs when Rin fully embraces her role as a vessel. The ancient rites are completed not for peace, but for dominion, marking the final transformation of the world into a stage for divine conflict.
