Plot
In Wuhan, Daniel is awakened by colleagues and must leave before a lockdown; they pass through an overcrowded station and begin a quarantine at a hotel. Alex is confirmed to return to the show, with Bradley reporting it live. Bradley wants to moderate the 2020 Democratic Party presidential debate, but Cory cannot promise it. She later dines with Alex and Maggie, who is writing a tell-all book on UBA. Laura Peterson, a journalist, interviews Alex as part of UBA's promotion; Alex feels uncomfortable when asked about her relationship with Mitch, insisting she has not contacted him. In Italy, Fred wants Mitch to help counter-sue Hannah's family, but Mitch declines. Paola reveals herself as a documentarian and asks Mitch to help with a documentary about an overturned rape case; he initially refuses but later agrees after seeing the state of America. Laura also interviews Bradley, and after the interview, Bradley kisses Laura, who kisses back. The next day, Alex arrives at the studio and joins Bradley as the show begins.
