Background
The Mandalorian arrives with Grogu on Tython and seats him at the center of the ancient temple on top of a mountain so that he may choose his path; as Grogu meditates, a protective Force field appears around him. Boba Fett arrives with the mercenary Fennec Shand and demands the return of his Mandalorian armor, and the Mandalorian agrees to trade it for Grogu's safety. When Imperial stormtroopers arrive to capture Grogu, the three fend them off, and Fett, in his armor, destroys the fleeing troop ships.
Moff Gideon then destroys the Razor Crest from his light cruiser, and four Dark Troopers capture Grogu and take him to the cruiser. Fett and Shand agree to help the Mandalorian save him, and the Mandalorian seeks New Republic Marshal Cara Dune's help in breaking out the criminal Mayfeld to track Gideon.
