Snack Barz
Crisped rice and marshmallow enrobed in milk chocolate.
Hershey's Snack Barz is a brand of candy bar produced, marketed, and sold by The Hershey Company. Each bar is a combination of crisped rice held together with marshmallow and reinforced with a coating of Hershey's milk chocolate. The company released three flavors in 2004: Hershey's Chocolate Creme, Reese's Peanut Butter, and Hershey's S'mores Marshmallow Creme. In 2005, two new flavors arrived: Caramel and Cookies 'n Creme. The bars are made of two layers of a crispy rice and marshmallow mixture, with a creamy marshmallow layer in between to help the layers stick together, then the whole thing is dipped in Hershey's chocolate before packaging.

Background
When Snack Barz first hit shelves in 2004, The Hershey Company aimed much of their marketing at parents concerned about the health of their children. The bars were advertised as a healthier candy bar compared to traditional candy, with zero grams of trans fat and being a good source of calcium, iron, and 'seven essential vitamins'—one bar has about fifteen percent of the Recommended Dietary Allowance of them. The product is sold in 1.5 and 2.1 ounce bar sizes. Each 1.5 ounce Snack Bar sells for about 70 cents, while each 2.1 ounce Snack Bar sells for about US$1.05 a bar. The company later began manufacturing and distributing two new flavors in 2005: Caramel and Cookies 'n Creme.
