The Mirror
A window into the soul, or an eye for the enemy watching from the dark.
In the lore of Mid-World and the multiverse surrounding The Dark Tower, mirrors serve as more than mere reflective surfaces; they are potent magical artifacts often utilized for scrying and surveillance. While not a single unique weapon like the Horn of Eld, 'The Mirror' refers to enchanted glass or polished metal capable of showing truths beyond physical sight. These objects frequently act as conduits for the Crimson King's gaze, allowing his minions to spy on the Ka-tet across vast distances and dimensions.

Lore & Background
The danger lies not just in being watched, but in what is reflected back. A mirror might show a traveler their past regrets or future doom rather than their current face. Roland has encountered instances where reflections shift independently of reality, signaling the presence of magic or an intruder from another world. This makes mirrors both a tool for understanding Ka and a vulnerability that must be guarded against.
Reader's Guide
Magical mirrors in The Dark Tower universe operate on principles of sympathetic magic and dimensional connection. They do not require batteries or fuel but often need a blood sacrifice or a strong emotional link to activate their scrying properties. Their primary limitation is fragility; shattering the glass can sever the connection temporarily, though it may also release trapped energies. They are most dangerous when left unguarded in areas where the Ka-tet rests, as they provide a direct line of sight for enemies like Walter Padick or Randall Flagg. Specific instances include moments where characters see their alternate selves or future deaths. These artifacts have altered events by revealing hidden truths to Roland or allowing his enemies to set ambushes based on gathered intelligence from the reflections.
