The Roxy (TV series)
A short-lived ITV chart show from Tyne Tees Television.
The Roxy was a British music television program produced by Tyne Tees Television in Newcastle and broadcast on the ITV network from June 1987 to April 1988. It was subtitled The Network Chart Show and was based on the weekly chart compiled for Independent Local Radio, airing in competition with BBC Radio 1's own chart show. The programme initially featured presenters David Jensen and Kevin Sharkey, and its first edition on 9 June 1987 included Erasure performing "Victim of Love". After ten months, the final edition aired on 5 April 1988, and the show's end marked the conclusion of major live music television production at Tyne Tees.
