It's a Mystery was a children's magazine programme broadcast on Children's ITV from 12 September 1996 to 9 May 2002, produced by The Media Merchants Television Company Ltd for Meridian Broadcasting Ltd. The show explored unusual stories involving UFOs, ghosts, and other hard-to-explain events, with some mysteries solved and others left open. For its fifth series, the programme was retitled Mystery and featured a new presenting team.

Format
The programme educated children by challenging them to solve a mystery, often involving people recounting strange occurrences such as a driver seeing his exact duplicate across a roundabout. Presenters also showed unexplained phenomena like ghosts in the Tower of London or the Loch Ness Monster. After each story, the mystery received a solved or unsolved designation. At the end of each episode, a riddle was posed for the audience to solve, with the answer given in the next episode. The production was by Tim Edmunds. The series regularly appeared in the Children's Top Ten.
Presenters
Neil Buchanan and Sophie Aldred presented the first series. For the second and third series, Neil Buchanan was joined by Gail Porter and Tristan Bancks. In the fourth series, Neil Buchanan presented with Ben Jones and Shelley Blond. The fifth series, retitled Mystery, was presented by Steve Wilson and Shiarra Juthan. Actors appearing across the series included Jo-Anne Good, Russell Hookey, Barry Rose, Mike Dyer-Ball, and Hal Dyer.
