General theme

Each episode begins with Huxley Pig in his bedroom talking to Sam the squawking seagull and wondering about something. He opens his suitcase of dress-up clothes, tries something on and says, "Hmmm, I wonder." The scene fades into his daydream for the rest of the story. In the dream, Sam the Seagull speaks with a Cockney accent. Other characters include Vile Vincent the vampire pig-butler; Horace, a hamster and con artist; Cuddles, a fanged green beast; Sidney, a snake with a lisp; the Ringmaster pig who runs the Circus; Ethel, Gloria and Myrtle, the three girls; Lady Agatha Porker, who lives at the Hall; and the Zoo Keeper pig, who only appeared in Huxley Pig at the restaurant. Adventures take Huxley and the gang to many places, as long as food is nearby. At the end of the daydream, Huxley returns to reality and finds a memento from the story has mysteriously returned with him.
